 Depictions of Women and Minorities in Afghanistan


Women in Afghanistan have seen their rights taken away ever since the Taliban have regained control of the country. Women have responded by protesting despite threats from the Taliban. Restrictions on women include barring them from attending secondary school and attending work with the Taliban blocking female aid workers as an example. 


New from : Afghans are desperately hungry and at risk of famine. You cannot fully deliver aid—especially to women headed households—without women aid workers. But the Taliban is blocking women aid workers from doing their jobs in most of the country.
